Argentine Tango

Argentine Tango is danced with partners in a very open to closed or chest to chest embrace. There isn’t any basic step in this dance style as this relies heavily on improvisation. It is danced counterclockwise around the dance floor’s outside area with the follower (mostly women) led by the man to alternate feet. In addition, the follower would rarely put her weight on both feet at the same time. Dancers of Argentine Tango would keep their feet in close contact to the floor while walking and their ankles and knees brush or collide as one leg passes the other leg.
